‘LOVE’
“A purely expressive piece.”
23 X 30 CM
Ink and Gouache on Canvas
This painting was created through a process of layering translucent paint, allowing the underlying ink to subtly emerge. Instinctive mark making delves deep into the subconscious while discovering the shapes and forms that the mind creates while running free. Information collides on the page, with common threads that span from botanical forms to cityscapes.

Inspired by the fiercely feminist book;
Women Who Run With The Wolves,
This painting represents self-realisation and takes the viewer on a journey back to themselves.

‘MINDSCAPE’
“Cloud like forms drift across the surface.”
40 x 50 CM
Ink and Gouache on Canvas
Shapes cluster and disperse rhythmically as they dance around the deep corners of my mind.
This painting is a poetic play on the gentle mist that sometimes dusts your consciousness. The one that makes you feel as though you’re flying as all your worries melt away.

‘SPIRITED AWAY’
“This painting has been referred to as ‘Klint Like’ and formed from a single doodle”
20 X 30 CM
Ink and Gouache on Canvas
Attempting to exist in the ‘in-between.’ A place where everything is and is not simultaneously. Like when you throw a ball in the air, the moment that it reaches the top and is neither rising or falling.
When two worlds collide, the outcome is unity.

‘BALLROOM NIGHTS’
"The encapsulation of a single night, celebrating the joy of dancing”
40 X 60 CM
Acrylic and Gouache on Canvas
This painting is an example of if you could morph fleeting feelings into shapes and lines and colours. Would it be possible to preserve moments you wish could last forever, encapsulated within a single object?

‘RESISTANCE’
“The push and pull tug of war that never resolves.”
76 X 51 CM
Oil on Canvas
The intricate details of this painting have come about by chance while exploring the tangible nature of oil and water, which results in contrast and convergence.
In the initial phases of this painting process, the organic patterns that emerged simply came about by the collision of two entities that usually ‘shouldn’t mix.’ The tension that is caused by this struggle is when a new world is born.

‘OSCILLATE’
71 X 60 CM
Acrylic and Oil on Canvas
Born for a kind of fidgety feeling, lines dart, twist, and entangle, never still, never settled.
Like a storm on the edge of breaking, this painting is charged with urgency and vitality.
This visceral image feels like something erupting from within, an emotional outburst or a force of nature, raw and unfiltered.
Vib, yet doesn’t collapse into chaos, or does it?

‘ROUGE’
“Everything, all at once.”
76 X 102 CM
Acrylic on Canvas
This painting encapsulates the constant unfurling of time. The flooding of visual information feels chaotic. And, it is. It’s an explosion of places I’ve been, people I’ve met, feelings I’ve felt and experiences I’ve lived.
All these fragments are interwoven within the canvas, to be experienced all at once.

“Organic Shapes Twist and Bloom”
30 X 40 CM
Gouache on Canvas
This painting was born from a yearning to be close to nature. I was swirling in a thunderstorm of my own making and the only way out was to run as fast as I could back to my roots. Back to the earth and the trees and the calm of an empty field. To be submerged by the sounds of the rustling leaves in the wind and the gentle hum of birdsong.

‘THE STUDY OF BEING’
“The notion of existence at a time”
60 X 60 CM
Acrylic on Canvas
This painting runs at a parallel to a research project, exploring temporal dimensions.
“What exists of me at each moment of my persistence is, strictly speaking, a temporal part of me. And each of my temporal parts is numerically different from all others”.

‘UNEARLTHLY PRESCENCE’
“Exploring the idea that we are merely
streams of consciousness”
27 X 33 CM
Acrylic on Canvas
This painting explores the concept that consciousness itself needs to be re-conceptualised as something deeply entwined with the living world, not separate from it.
Overall, the painting process took 3 years to complete. I like the idea that a painting can mirror the way humans change, evolve and adapt over time.

‘EQUINOX’
“The very moment when nature pivots”
50 X 70 CM
Acrylic on Canvas
The canvas itself is the shifting of seasons, capturing the very moment when nature pivots.
Following a layering regime of thick oil paint over a base layer of thinned acrylic paint, this painting was made while submerged in the woods and surrounded by trees. Bold , abstract shapes flirt with figuration. While organic forms, twist and bloom, creating a sense of momentum and flux.

‘PARADOX’
“An outpouring of visual and conceptual information, organised with paint”
76 X 51 CM
Oil on Canvas
Humans are symbiotic organisms, meaning that our identities and experiences are shaped by our relationships with other organisms and the world around us.
This painting started with a drawing style that maps around the edges of my subconscious. The outcome is something I like to call a ‘Mindscape’ and always teaches me something about life.

‘SCATTER’
“A whirlwind of fragmented light.”
Depicting a complex feeling, one that is so disrupted and engulfed by everything around it.
Obscured from itself.
A beautiful thing that cannot be seen and it cannot be heard, it simply exists on its own.

‘VIVACITY’
“The more you look the more you see”
76 X 51 CM
Oil on Canvas
‘Vivacity’ not only explores my own subconscious but invites viewers into theirs as well.
This painting is constructed from a web of entangled lines I drew on the canvas while peering into thick foliage. Tracing the intricate interconnected shapes and the light that shines through the depths.
I’m always met with a challenge. The challenge of making sense of the chaos that initially erupts onto the surface. I paint in a similar way to the layers and layers of leaves that are piled onto of each other. I use colours to build a composition that is pleasing to the eye and it just so happens that the shapes that take form remind different people of different things.

‘TRAVELLING PAINTINGS’
23 X 36 CM
Acrylic, Oil and Chalk on Canvas and Salvaged Wood
This installation interrogates the concept of "the frame" in fine art — both physically and philosophically. The support structure is constructed from discarded offcuts of wood, remnants from the making of traditional frames. These fragments, repurposed into a makeshift hanging system, suspend the painted canvas in a raw and unresolved state, resisting containment.
The canvas itself has travelled — physically and metaphorically — accompanying the artist through Brazil and into the jungle, where it captured the fleeting shadows of foliage and movement. Along the journey, it was dipped into the sea, allowing salt water to dissolve and disrupt the watercolour pigments. This gesture invites natural contingency into the work, where erosion becomes mark-making and decay becomes form.
By folding and hanging the canvas loosely, the piece highlights the materiality of the surface — its creases, tears, and fluid stains become as important as any painted line. The frame is no longer a boundary but a proposition: a site of instability, potential, and transformation.

‘ALIVE'
134 X 150 CM
Salt water and Acrylic on Canvas
“This painting has escaped the confines and connotations of its frame.”
This image is a still from a video work created during my Fine Art degree. The film documents a painting resurfacing from the sea, crawling across the stony beach like a living organism, and eventually arriving within the pristine walls of a white cube gallery space.
The video explores the tension between environment and institution — between the organic and the curated — as the artwork transitions from wild, liminal space to controlled exhibition. It challenges fixed ideas of where a painting belongs, and what happens when the boundaries between medium, context, and movement begin to dissolve.
The salt water becomes a collaborator, introducing unpredictability and contingency — softening edges, distorting intention, and allowing the painting to be shaped by forces beyond the artist’s control.
